Flood areas primarily aim to delay and store rainwater locally. Climate adaptation by local rainwater delays can be a good and cheap alternative to the wastewater network development and can in many cases be established as part of more traditional infiltration solutions. Solutions with combined infiltration and warehousing are described in more detail in fact sheets on wadis.
