About
Fuengirola is advancing its smart city model with entities from the Smart City Cluster to improve public services provided to citizens. That has been signed a collaboration agreement to implement measures to increase the implementation of the smart city model, understood as more efficiency, sustainable and comfortable for citizens.

Some Smart City initiatives are already part of the daily life of Fuengirolans. For example, the Gecor System that, on the one hand, allows citizens to report incidents in urban furniture and cleaning and, on the other, computerizes the work management of the Operational Services. The Fuengirola Avanza app is one more step in that direction.The same goes for e-administration. The website has an electronic office that allows to consult information and carry out procedures electronically through the digital certificate. The participatory budgeting portal that is activated each year in the preparation phase of the accounts for the following year is another initiative in this field, as is the citizen participation portal that periodically launches surveys to press the opinions and proposals of residents. .There are other projects that are already a reality and its use continues to spread: remote management of lighting and intelligent lighting, the use of electric vehicles in the fleet of municipal vehicles or free Wi-Fi zones. And new proposals for a sustainable future are constantly being incorporated.
