About

In 2015, in accordance with the European Union Structural Funds Investment Operational Program for 2014-2020 8.6. The establishment of the Marijampolė City Local Action Group was initiated with the investment priority “Implementation of Community-Initiated Local Development Strategies” and in order to promote cooperation between non-governmental organizations and business representatives of the city of Marijampolė in solving social, economic, employment and other problems of the city.The aim of the Marijampolė Local Action Group is to ensure the effective implementation of the functions of the local action group, thus improving local employment opportunities and increasing the social integration of communities by exploiting the links between local communities, business and local government.
