Narva Urban Sustainable Development Strategy 2014 - 2025

About

The Estonian Regional Development Strategy for 2014-2020 states that taking into account the current socio-economic development situation, the settlement structure of the region, natural and cultural heritage and industrial competence, Ida-Virumaa can be considered the least exploited region in Estonia. Coordinated efforts of the Estonian state and local governments are needed to turn the development of Ida-Virumaa on the path of accelerating economic growth and stabilizing the population. Cities are leaders in regional development. The forthcoming strategy for the sustainable development of the Narva urban area will contribute to the synergy arising from the co-operation of the closely related local governments in improving the preconditions for entrepreneurship and employment and raising the quality of the living environment.
